WELCOME

Southside offers technical training to high school students enrolled in the Fayette, Jessamine, Scott, and Woodford County Public School Systems. Up to four (4) elective credits may be earned in each program area during a school year. After completing one year, students may enroll in a technical center program for a second year for advanced training.

Once a student has achieved a level of acceptable work in a technical program, he/she may have an opportunity to participate in the co-operative work program.

Students are encouraged to participate in the Skills USA student organization. Skills USA promotes leadership and technical skills through competition.

Acceptable standards of conduct, attendance, classroom work, and practical work are required for continuous enrollment.

Upon completion of their high school technical program, students are encouraged to complete their area of training at Bluegrass Community and Technical College or other post-secondary educational institutions.
